Kate Middleton Goes Full Hallmark Movie in the Cosiest Jumper of Christmas Past

It may only be mid-November, but Kate Middleton already seems to be living in a Christmassy future — or perhaps Christmas past?

On 20 November, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a photo of Kate decorating a Christmas tree in honour of her upcoming 'Together at Christmas' carol service at Westminster Abbey, which will take place on 8 December. In the photo the mother-of-three smiles for the camera in a beautiful cream Fair Isle turtleneck jumper, which she has already been seen wearing multiple times last winter.

However, this Holland Cooper jumper may not actually be back in Kate’s rotation. It seems the photo was originally taken to promote last year’s carol service. In a promotional video shared on December 14, 2022, the princess can be seen decorating a very familiar tree in the same cosy knitwear, which also features elegant gold buttons on the sleeves. “Final touches ahead of the #TogetherAtChristmas Carol Service tomorrow,” the official @KensingtonRoyal account posted at the time.

No matter when the photo was taken, Kate Middleton looks as if she was pulled straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie in the Christnas jumper. It’s no wonder she wore the piece for a Shaping Us campaign video back in February, pairing the jumper with another one of her favourite wardrobe staples: a brown leather Darwin jacket by L.K. Bennett, which she has been wearing since 2011, according to People.

Though the Darwin jacket is no longer available on the L.K. Bennett website, Holland Cooper’s Fairisle Knit jumper retails for £179 and ranges from size XS to XL. If you don’t want to copy Kate exactly, Tory Burch sells a similar one for between £170 and £360.

Happy holiday shopping — and don't miss out on those Black Friday deals.
